At Second Nature Studio, sustainability is at the heart of everything I do. From creating eco-conscious art to designing products that blend style and convenience, my mission is to make sustainable living effortless.

Hey there! I'm Jess.

Hey there!
I'm Jess.

I’m a sustainable artist and surface pattern designer, creating eco-conscious designs that make sustainability feel effortless.

I’ve always loved patterns—their ability to tell stories and connect us to the world. But I kept asking: Why does beautiful design so often come at the planet’s expense? So, I built Second Nature Studio to change that.

Here, sustainability meets style. I offer surface pattern design, art licensing, and sustainable education for businesses, plus a curated shop of thoughtfully designed, low-waste products. Every decision — from materials to partnerships — is made with the planet in mind.

My mission? To make sustainability feel like second nature, for businesses, creators, and conscious consumers alike.

Sustainability

At Second Nature Studio, I strive to reduce our environmental footprint while offering solutions that resonate with your lifestyle. Sustainability is woven into every aspect of my business, from sourcing materials to packaging and shipping.

Key Commitments:

  • Zero Plastic Packaging: Products and shipping materials are natural, recyclable, and reusable.

  • Certified Sustainable Partners: Collaborations with SA 8000, OEKO-TEX, SCOPE, FSC forested, GOTS Organic Cotton, Fair Trade, Biodegradable Certificates, Organic Linen, and more.

  • Eco-Friendly Practices: Energy-efficient studio operations, responsible art-making, and carbon offset programs.

  • Giving Back: For every $20+ purchase, a tree is planted through One Tree Planted, contributing to reforestation worldwide.

Giving Back

I’m committed to making a positive impact:

Tree Planting: Partnering with One Tree Planted to reforest areas in need.

Carbon Offsets: 1% of our profits is donated to Carbon Offset Programs.

Local Action: Participating in conservation efforts, including community clean-ups and leading my town’s Green Team initiatives.

As a surface pattern designer, I create nature-inspired art for industries like home goods and outdoor gear. Licensing my patterns helps brands enhance their products while promoting sustainability and ethics.
