Second Nature Studio was created from a desire to live with fewer things, and to choose them more intentionally.
I design seasonal home goods for everyday rituals. Not objects made to impress, but pieces chosen for how they feel, how they’re used, and how they show up in daily life.
This is my idea of quiet luxury.
What Quiet Luxury Means Here
Hey there!
I'm Jess.
Luxury doesn’t need to announce itself.
For me, it looks like:
-
Quality materials that age well
-
Thoughtful design without excess
-
Small batches, made slowly
-
Objects designed to be used, not saved
Quiet luxury is restraint, care, and intention — built into every decision.
My work follows the rhythm of the year.
Each collection is shaped by how life shifts from season to season; how we gather in fall, rest in winter, open up in spring, and live more loosely in summer.
Patterns, colors, and textures reflect the season you’re in not what’s trending.
Pattern and texture have a way of staying with us.
The table linens you reach for every night.
The pillow you always grab when you sit down.
The towel that feels just right in your hands.
These details quietly hold memories.
My artwork is designed to live inside those moments.

Sustainability
Thoughtful by Design
At Second Nature Studio, sustainability isn’t a feature, it’s the foundation.
Every decision, from materials to packaging to partnerships, is made with care and long-term thinking in mind. The goal isn’t perfection. It’s responsibility. Creating beautiful, functional pieces that support your life without adding unnecessary waste to it.
This is slow design — with intention behind every step.
Our Commitments
-
Plastic-Free Packaging: Orders are packed using natural, recyclable, reusable, or compostable materials. No excess. No unnecessary layers.
-
Certified & Responsible Partners: We collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers who uphold rigorous environmental and ethical standards, including SA8000, OEKO-TEX®, FSC-certified forestry, GOTS organic cotton, Fair Trade practices, and biodegradable certifications.
-
Low-Impact Studio Practices: Energy-efficient operations, responsible art-making processes, and carbon-conscious production decisions guide how this business runs day to day.
-
Reforestation & Carbon Responsibility: For every $20+ purchase, a tree is planted through One Tree Planted. Additionally, 1% of profits supports verified carbon offset programs.

Care That Extends Beyond the Studio
Sustainability isn’t only about products — it’s about participation.
* Tree planting partnerships supporting global reforestation
* Ongoing contributions to carbon offset initiatives
*Local conservation efforts, including community clean-ups and leadership in town green initiatives
Small actions, practiced consistently, add up.
Nature-Inspired. Industry Ready.
As a surface pattern designer, I create nature-inspired artwork for home goods, textiles, and outdoor industries.
Licensing allows brands to elevate their products with thoughtful, original design, while prioritizing ethical production and responsible sourcing. It’s a way to expand impact while maintaining integrity.
Design should enhance the everyday.
And it should be made responsibly.
