It’s time folks! We all need to be making smarter, greener choices. But that sure can seem daunting, right?!?! Let me help you out. Make one swap. Just one. When that swap becomes habit, swap another everyday item for a sustainable solution. Then keep making sustainable swaps. Before you know it you will be making a huge impact. But Jess, where do I begin? What do I choose to swap out? Plastic straws for metal? Reusable bags for plastic? Reusable Swedish Dishcloth for paper towels? … a what? What is that?

Swedish Dish Cloths (aka reusable paper towel) have been used since 1949 in Sweden and other parts of Europe. 1 cloth can be used, washed and reused for months at a time! If you purchase 1 reusable cloth and use it in place of paper towels you can save up to 17 rolls of paper towels. Let me say that again… 1 CLOTH replaces 17 ROLLS of paper towels.

What does that mean for you? SAVINGS! Money Space Waste Trees Water Time So … what are they? 100% natural and biodegradable Made of 70% cellulose and 30% cotton (mine are from sustainably forested and recycled cellulose sources and fabric industries shorts- meaning all the materials used are saving waste and making an impact already) * Fast Drying (no smelly dish rag or sponge!) * Highly absorbent * 7 x 8.5 inches, they start stiff and flat and become soft and pliable when wet * Bonus - They have a fun and unique Second Nature Studio patterns How do I use them? Any where and way you would a paper towel! Or disposable cleaning wipe. Or rag. Or sponge. How do I wash them?
Hand wash with mild soap and hot water Toss in the dishwasher Toss in the washing machine (no drier please!) Wring out and lay or hang to dry
How many do I need? Start with one. Use it. Really, actually use it. Before you know it you will be wanting more for different jobs, areas or zones in your house.
